The Latin Standard – Brazilian Jazz Without Borders

We present a refined interpretation of Brazilian music, drawing on the subtle elegance of samba, bossa nova and MPB, alongside the rich harmonic language of Brazilian jazz. Our music celebrates iconic composers such as Jorge Ben, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Caetano Veloso and Djavan, alongside modern masters including Hermeto Pascoal and Egberto Gismonti.

All members of the band are highly experienced musicians with an international performance history, having appeared at renowned venues and events around the world—from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to Tokyo and London. UK highlights include PizzaExpress Jazz Club Soho, 606 Jazz Club, Toulouse Lautrec, Vortex Jazz Club and The Spice of Life Soho, as well as JazzB (São Paulo) and the legendary Beco das Garrafas in Rio de Janeiro.

The band is available in flexible line-ups, from an intimate duo (voice and guitar) to a fuller quartet or quintet featuring bass and percussion.
